Robin is the European Vice Chair for Reed Smith's Litigation Department. He was previously the Co-Global Practice Group Leader for Reed Smith's Labor and Employment Group.

Robin acts for a diverse range of clients, with particular experience in the financial sector acting for investment and High Street banks, investment managers, professional partnerships, trading houses and insurance companies, many with an international presence.

Robin has many years of experience in managing large projects which are often of an international nature and encompassing complex legal issues and highly sensitive/important business considerations. This ability proved vital during the financial crisis as his key clients have faced large scale, global and group wide issues.

Robin advises on all manner of employment issues, including the handling of disciplinary and grievance procedures, fraud by employees, resolving conflicts in the work place, effecting changes in terms and conditions including place of work, bonus disputes and handling allegations of whistle-blowing and discrimination. He also advises regularly on team moves and Boardroom disputes and on employment law issues in a regulatory context.

Robin has particular expertise in employment litigation representing clients in complex and high value matters before both the Employment Tribunal and the High Court. He has enjoyed notable success in defending discrimination and whistle-blowing claims and acting for employers in enforcing their rights in relation to confidential information, the enforcement of restrictive covenants and “garden leave”, where he has acted in a number of important and high profile cases. A number of these cases have had an international dimension.

Robin is a regular platform speaker at client conferences. He also speaks regularly at Reed Smith client seminars including most recently a round table discussion seminar on Protecting Business Interests in the Global Market Place.
